A familiar model name or a working machine does not prove that a device is outside a recall. Record the exact model, serial number, region and whether it was repaired or replaced. Use the manufacturer’s lookup process and the relevant regulator’s current notice. A marketplace description, photograph or seller’s reassurance is not a substitute for that identification.
The FDA’s Philips recall guidance explains that affected people should discuss the benefits and risks of continuing or changing treatment with their healthcare provider. For some patients, stopping treatment can pose greater risk. This is an individual clinical decision, not something a catalog can settle.
